Work
package 2 of the GMOchips-project:
PCR optimisation |
Partners involved: | FUNDP, INRA, DGCCRF, CSIC |
Objectives: |
Efficient amplification of the sequences which will allow the identification and the quantification of GMOs if present in food or plants. |
Description of work / tasks: |
The use of consensus primers will allow the amplification of different variant sequences in one time. This amplification by PCR will be optimised to obtain the best sensitivity and specificity. Competitive PCR will also be developed to quantify the GMOs contents. The amplification products will be further discriminated on the biochips of the WP 3. |
Deliverables: | 3. Sensitive and specific amplification of the sequences present in the GMOs. |
Milestones and criteria: | 4. Optimisation of the PCR first on plasmids and subsequently on purify DNA. |
Interrelation with other workpackages: | Sequences identified and cloned in WP1 are amplified in order to be further discriminated into the WP 3. |
